15V, 2A precision constant voltage/constant current power adapter manufacturer's circuit

  The circuit of 15V, 2A precision constant voltage/constant current output power adapter is shown in the figure. A total of 4 integrated circuits are used in the circuit: TOP214Y monolithic power adapter (IC1), PC816A linear optocoupler (IC2), adjustable precision shunt regulator TL431C (IC3), low-power dual op amp LM358 (IC4) , Including two operational amplifiers IC4a and IC4b). The circuit has the following characteristics:

  (1) Use IC4b, IC3, VD5 and sampling resistors R3, R4 to form a voltage control loop; IC4a, VD6 and overcurrent detection resistor R6 form a current control loop;

  (2) The voltage control loop and the current control loop work according to the principle of "logic OR gate", that is, at any time, the loop whose output is high level plays a control role;

  (3) The secondary bias winding NSB is added to supply power to the control loop, and the secondary bias USB can automatically follow the change of the DC input voltage UI.

  Make the power supply output voltage UO still have constant current characteristics when the output voltage UO is greatly reduced, and enter the automatic restart state only when UO≤0.8V;

  (4) Use a TOP214Y single-chip power adapter to make the rated output power reach 30W;

  (5) When a current control loop composed of an operational amplifier is used, the resistance value of the current detection resistor R6 can be reduced to 0.1Ω, the power consumption can be reduced to 0.4W, and the power supply efficiency can be improved;

  (6) Increase the maximum value of the feedback voltage UFB to 46V. Here, a PC816A optocoupler is used, with U(BR)CEO=70V>40V.

  Under normal circumstances, the voltage control loop works, and the power adapter works in the constant voltage zone. When IO is close to 2A, it enters the constant current zone, and the current control loop works at this time. The non-inverting input terminal of IC4a is connected to the current detection signal UR6, and the inverting input terminal is connected to the voltage divider voltage UFY. The voltage divider is composed of R5, R8 and TL431C. After IC4a compares UR6 with UFY, it outputs an error signal Ur2, which then becomes a current signal through VD5 and R1, which flows into the LED in the optocoupler, and then controls the duty cycle of TOP214Y, so that the output current IOH of the power supply is in the constant current region. Keep constant within. Obviously, VD5 and VD6 are equivalent to an "OR gate." If the output of the current control loop is high and the output of the voltage control loop is low, the power supply works in a constant current output state; otherwise, it works in a constant voltage output state.
