Power adapters can often be seen in our lives. A power adapter makes a very loud "squeak" sound during operation, which interferes with the running mood of consumers. So how to repair this situation? Follow the manufacturer to learn about it!
Maintenance process: Under normal circumstances, it is normal for the power adapter to have a small operating noise, but if the noise is annoying, it is a problem. Because in the power adapter, only when the switching transformer or the magnetic ring of the inductance coil has a relatively large movable gap between the coil and the coil will the "squeak" be generated. After dismantling the power adapter, gently move part of the coils on the two inductors by hand under the condition of no power supply. If there is no loose feeling, it is certain that the operating noise of the power adapter comes from the switching transformer.
The methods to eliminate the "squeak" sound when the switching transformer is running are as follows:
(1) Use an electric soldering iron to re-solder the joints between several pins of the switching transformer and the printed circuit board. When soldering, press the switching transformer to the circuit board by hand, so that the bottom of the switching transformer is in close contact with the circuit board.
(2) Insert a suitable plastic plate or seal with polyurethane glue between the magnetic core and the coil of the switching transformer.
(3) Pad hard paper or plastic board between the switching transformer and the circuit board.
