The simplest high-frequency self-resonant sine wave converter is easy to design and implement. This system is usually used for electronic ballasts. This type of inverter is introduced in more detail in Chapter 2 of Part 4 of the Supplementary Chapter, titled "Resonant and Quasi-Resonant Power Adapters".
The figure shows the basic circuit diagram of the non-adjustable current self-excited oscillating sine wave inverter. The input is a stable 215V DC power adapter and the rated operating frequency is 50kHz. Since the input voltage is stable, the output of this 50kHz20V inverter will also be semi-stable.

L1 is called a "choke" rather than an inductor, because the DC current in the winding is relatively large, and the choke is also subject to great AC voltage stress.
There are two optional installation positions for the input choke, namely L1 or another position LA, first consider the choke at the L position, because the function of the circuit is the easiest to understand at this time. It will be found later that the choke coil located in LA has the same function and can reduce the capacitive coupling between the primary and secondary windings and reduce the output noise.
